About
Vertree started as an app we built for ourselves.
For a long time, food had more say in our days than we did, and none of the usual tools explained why. Calorie counting measured amounts, not pull. “Just have discipline” blamed the eater for a property of the food. When we finally found the research on why some foods are so hard to stop eating, and started eating around it, the most unexpected thing happened: we stopped missing them.
We’d been tracking meals in a small app of our own, and we’d given each meal a tree, because we like trees. Looking back across the weeks, we realized we’d been growing a grove — and that the grove was a more honest picture of our choices than any number. That’s when it stopped being a tracker.
What Vertree is for
Helping people take their agency back — starting with food. Vertree makes the pull of food visible and turns every meal into a tree, so you can see what you’re planting, day by day, without shame. The Pull describes the food, never you. No streaks, no grades. Just your grove, growing.
Food is where it starts. The grove is built to carry more than food, in time.
Where things stand
Vertree is on iOS, in private testing with a small group. It will be a paid app when it launches publicly. It runs on Sign in with Apple and nothing else — no setup, no accounts to create.
Contact
Questions, bugs, ideas, or you’d like to be told when testing opens: support@vertree.io. Inside the app, the megaphone sends feedback straight to us, with an optional screenshot.
We read everything. We don’t promise timelines, but a surprising amount of what’s in the app started as a tester’s note.
